- serves three distinct functions: a central database for all of the volumetric and infrastructure data related to Alberta’s upstream oil and gas industry; a communication tool enabling both Ministry of Energy and industry stakeholders to exchange information; and provides an analysis tool to avoid common mathematical errors.

- provides for the exploration, development, management and conservation of Saskatchewan’s non-renewable resources.
BC's Ministry of Energy and Mines
- represents the catalyst and facilitator for developing sustainable and competitive energy and mineral resource sectors for British Columbians.
Indian and Northern Affairs
- responsible for meeting the federal government’s constitutional, treaty, political and legal responsibilities to First Nations, Inuit and Northerners.
Petroleum Branch of Manitoba Science, Technology, Energy and Mines
- The Petroleum Branch of Manitoba Science, Technology, Energy and Mines administers provisions under The Oil and Gas Act and The Oil and Gas Production Tax Act relating to exploration, development, production and transportation of oil and gas.
